Donate to the Robert E. Helm Leadership Endowment Fund.
The purpose of the Fund is to first provide a scholarship or scholarships for undergraduate students attending Wake Forest, who are participants in the Wake Forest ROTC program, on the basis of financial need and/or academic merit based upon the following order of preferences. First preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need (including middle income, as determined by Wake Forest), and who maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least a 2.5. Second preference will be given to students who maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0. Third preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need (including middle income, as determined by Wake Forest), and who maintain a grade point average of at least a 2.0. In addition, to qualify for a scholarship, the student must satisfy the United States Army’s physical fitness standards, as those standards may apply at the time a scholarship is awarded. The scholarship(s) should partially offset annual education costs not covered by ROTC scholarships or university grants. Second, the purpose of the Fund is to provide an annual supplement not to exceed $1,500.00 or five (5%) percent of the annual endowment income, whichever is greater, to be used to enhance ROTC on-campus recruiting and retention activities. After the death of the surviving donor, Wake Forest may, with the consent of the Wake Forest ROTC Military Advisory Committee, modify the amount given to the enhancement of ROTC on-campus recruiting and retention activities, bearing in mind the purpose of the Fund as set forth herein. Wake Forest will develop and maintain appropriate procedures as necessary to accomplish the purpose of the Fund. Donate Now.
